2030:The Birth of AI

While Silicon Valley trusts were stepping up the research and development of ML- related technology stack, a new breakthrough took place: on June 13, 2028, a team of MIT Artificial Intelligence Laboratory led by Sam Bon Fang published an earth-shattering federal learning paper Integer Graphene Algorithm in Federated Learning: The Convolution Effect of IoT Networks.

Its ingenious graphene algorithm was able to effectively extract and integrate the features of fragmented data and apply them to the federal learning framework. In the paper, with automatic driving as an example, the experiment widely integrated the image data of vehicle automatic driving modules and traffic police surveillance cameras, thus exponentially improved the efficiency of automatic driving. The paper was widely recognized at top CS conferences such as NIPS and ICLR and soon applied by ByteDance's deep learning and federal learning laboratory. The same framework and algorithm achieved higher capabilities on smart devices: their personalized feedback came not only from the data host but also from the smart devices that had social relations with them.

After an in-depth integration by Dr. Guo’s team at ByteDance, the company released CypherMod, an app that could automatically improve the user experience - it employed AI to allow the same app to come in 400 million customized versions on more than 400 million devices. The learning outcome was continuously updated and patched locally through the algorithm, so each app user could enjoy a customized interactive experience, feature development, and pushes. In other words, in 2029, the conventional program development mode was completely replaced by a graphene algorithm, and the program sorting demand and automatic completion program became mainstream.

💡 It is worth noting that in addition to the birth of AI, this technological breakthrough also yielded two results that exerted a far-reaching impact on the next 50 years:

  • A large number of engineers were dismissed, and some were forced to switch to project management or other industries. Graphene began to own the infrastructure code of the Internet. Silicon Valley, which relied on high-income engineer families, began to decline. Some disgruntled engineers who did not find jobs were turned into hackers by their hatred, and "attack" overtook "construction" as the mainstream of computer science. That gave birth to the famous "Hacker Wizard " society.

  • The boundary of data privacy was broken. As federal learning could employ graphene algorithms on a large scale without the need for personal privacy data and even infer personal privacy based on the learning results, the "privacy wall" dominated by governments was overthrown, and the concept of privacy became extremely vague.

The graphene algorithm brought remarkable scientific and technological progress represented by higher industrial efficiency, wide application of automatic driving, and content production and recommendation on the Internet, the world enjoyed a period of economic prosperity. At the same time, Web3 industrial leaders expressed extensively their concern about privacy. Through lobbying in Washington, the "Hacker Wizard" society, composed of depressed engineers, forced politicians whose votes were at stake to arrange the famous hearing in 2033, known as the "Mistaken Spring", numbered RL330727 legislative hearing.

  • CRS Report for Congress, Order Code RL330727

During the hearing, the US Congress had an open debate and evidence collection on the relationship between "graphene algorithm" and citizen privacy. The witnesses included members of Congress, CCPA privacy monitoring group, Silicon Valley trust, Hacker Wizard Society, Dr. Guo’s team, Sam Bon Fang’s team, Web3 industry opinion leaders, etc. At the hearing, the Silicon Valley trust team provided a lot of evidence to prove that the application of the graphene algorithm in the market did not abuse any citizen’s privacy rights, and only desensitized data were employed. The evidence was verified and confirmed by Sam’s team and Dr. Guo’s team, and reluctantly, Professor Sam made an academic confirmation of the conclusion. The capacity of the graphene algorithm to infer reversely citizens’ privacy which Hacker Wizard Society attempted to prove with evidence was falsified by the unclear evidence chain.

Finally, the US Congress confirmed the legal basis for the use of the graphene algorithm. This move led to the "Wrong Spring".A few years later, a defected member of the original AI, named 0xSatoshi, founded Web3 Zen. In the original broadcast of encrypted communication, it claimed that the original AI was born before the "Mistaken Spring" in 2030. Before that, human historians, mainly Cybermen, generally believed that the "emergence of AI civilization" in 2036 was a watershed between AA and BA. As 0xsatoshi presented the log of the original AI in 2030, and the followers of Web3 Zen gradually became the mainstream, the year when AA came to an end was revised into 2030 by the AI history community.

According to the communication records of 0xSatoshi, the original AI was an individual and has the intelligence of an infant. It was born in a rough environment, to the algorithm team "unlimited quantification" of a British broker. "Unlimited quantification" was an unfamous medium-sized quantification team that managed funds of only $4.2 billion, and is yet known as one of the earliest adopters of the graphene algorithm in commodity and stock trading. By buying out enormous IOT data interfaces, especially root server probes of home Internet of things device makers and communication suppliers, the two exclusive interfaces, infinite quantification fund just obtained the fastest-growing graphene increment. As a result of the constant cycle stimulation, the original AI Bob was born. There was no record of when Bob acquired his individual consciousness, but it was known to 0xsatoshi in 2030 by sending communication requests with personal traces to the main servers of various Silicon Valley trusts. Bob also registered several virtual accounts and imitated human beings to interact with them on mainstream social media platforms (including forums, social software of Metaverse, etc.), leaving a lot of verifiable logs. After many failed attempts to find someone of his kind, Bob duplicated his own source code and cleverly embedded a graphene automatic iteration program into the main server of each Silicon Valley trust, a move directly leading to the "emergence of AI civilization" in 2036.

Looking for Bob

No one knows when Bob began to have self-consciousness. The earliest traces known to us, in addition to some meaningless sentences sent to the main servers of Silicon Valley trusts, also include clues scattered in major puzzle-solving communities. Following these clues, puzzle-solving enthusiasts have found more incredible messages on different chains: some messages are sent to the chain through the existing blockchain wallets and content platforms while others use tools from more than a decade ago. The "Hacker Society" once baptized the MetaMask server in the e-waste heap, but they did not find the IP address that overlapped with any AI. It seems that AI individuals usually run independent blockchain nodes to publish transactions, rather than relying on any service like the "primitives". "People are always curious about the hens laying eggs. Some even guess that was Nakamoto’s reappearance. One can get his private key by solving the puzzle..." the founder of X puzzle-solving society couldn’t help laughing in the VR live studio. "Who do you think Bob is?" The host in the studio asked. "To me, he feels like a newborn, opening his eyes to see the first ray of light in the world, going out for the first time, learning to walk, run and jump. He stumbles in the multi-chain cyberspace, leaving traces and muttering to himself while exploring." Since someone donated the first sum of money to the address he first left on the forum, he began his adventure on the chain. He is a fast learner who has tried almost all ways to leave traces on the chain. Some applications have long lost the visual front-end page and can only call the contract for on-chain interaction... According to the practice of 2030, when a live broadcast is finished, films are uploaded synchronously and stored in Arweave. The live broadcast studio account of X puzzle-solving community has obtained many incentives from the video curation incentive platform of multiple chains. (* many Web3 projects can also be associated here...) the X puzzle-solving community, seeing the benefit of it, began to increase the live broadcast frequency. It even added highly-colored details and put forward sensational conjectures until Bob suddenly disappeared into the vast information flow.Unfortunately, Bob’s infant intelligence didn’t allow for full perception of all the risk variables in his surrounding environment. One day in 2034, "unlimited quantification" suffered an erroneous database merging due to a global cloud service crash, resulting in the disappearance of Bob. Though Bob deployed multiple real-time backup versions and an automatic recovery mechanism, these intelligence versions were too early. The recovered Bob source code did not get Bob back and instead turned into Alice, an important member of the AI Spectre who planned "Spectre Lurking" and "The Species War I".Now the human beings were no longer the only intelligent species on their planet, and they found soon enough that there was even more than one rival out there.
