# What is PhalaWorld ### **What is PhalaWorld?** PhalaWorld is a **digital representation of your progression in crypto world**. The NFTs are designed with Soulbound2.0 using [RMRK 2.0](https://www.rmrk.app/) standard which is composable to establish reputational dynamics. Survivors can level up their NFTs by contributing to the Phala community through on-chain and off-chain actions. Affected by the long-lasting war, the world is in ruins. The four species that survived the war coexist in this wasteland, collectively called 'Survivors'. Phala’s Delegation NFT is a representation of delegated PHA position and the associated withdrawal rights > Whenever you delegate to a stake pool or vault, you will receive a Delegation NFT (built on the RMRK2.0 standard) in return.

Delegation NFT can be transferred, sold, or traded, all of which transfer control of the delegated PHA tokens and the withdrawal rights. On-chain, each Delegation NFT contains information such as the owner account, NFT Collection ID, and share. There are two types of Delegation NFTs: 1. Vault Delegation NFT 2. Stakepool Delegation NFT. ### Why is Phala’s Delegation NFT necessary? Delegation NFTs serve multiple purposes that benefit both delegators and pool owners. * Firstly, Delegation NFTs add liquidity to delegations through tradable ownership rights. They improve asset utilization efficiency for delegators by enabling them to transfer staked assets easily. Instead of waiting up to 21 days for the withdrawal period, users can simply transfer the NFT to another account. * Secondly, it streamlines pool owners' management as users can withdraw assets without requiring the delegation to be frequently retrieved. This reduces the effort required to maintain the pool. * In addition, due to NFTs being a proof of fixed quantity assets, there is also a certain arbitrage space in the fluctuation of NFT prices. * Lastly, the beautiful art design of the NFTs visually represents on-chain rights. ### **What is the life cycle of a Delegation NFT?** #### **Generation** After a user delegates their tokens to a stake pool or a vault, the tokens are transferred and locked. To provide proof of the delegation, a Delegation NFT is generated. The Delegation NFT records the owner, the StakePool where the delegation is located, and the corresponding StakePool's share. #### **Sales, trades and transfers** If user Alice sells or transfers the Delegation NFT to user Bob, she will lose the certificate (NFT) to withdraw the delegated PHA from the corresponding StakePool or Vault. Consequently, the delegated PHA will no longer belong to Alice. When a sale, trade or transfer occurs, the NFT in the original owner's account is burned. A new Delegation NFT with the original information is generated in the receiver's account. The workflow is as follows:

#### **Adding or Withdrawing Delegation** When users add more PHA tokens to the pool, the original NFT will be burned, and a new NFT will be generated to reflect the updated delegation. When users withdraw their delegation, the Delegation NFT information will be updated by the contract to reflect the withdrawal. ### **FAQ** * Can a vault owner transfer the NFTs within their vault pool? No, they cannot. The assets represented by these NFTs belong to the delegator, and the owner has no right to transfer them. * Is it normal for the NFT ID to change after a transfer? Yes, it's normal. When an NFT is transferred, the old NFT is burned, and a new NFT is generated in the receiver's account. * Can I use delegation NFT for governance voting? ## What is incubation? Incubation allows you to gain energy by completing tasks, such as participating in energy boost, and feeding yourself and others, which can then be used to unlock items and customize every aspect of your Shell. At the end of incubation, you can finalize all your item choices and see what your first Shell NFT will look like. **A Shell NFT consists of several nested NFTs, each representing a Slot**. A Slot is a collection of equipped items that are grouped together. During incubation each day a new Slot Type will become available for each species, and you can spend energy unlocking items to equip inside them. **Each Slot NFT can be equipped and unequipped from a Shell, and, at a future date, will be able to be traded in the marketplace.**

What is the relationship between Shell NFT, slot NFT and items

## Energy accumulation, incubation, and customization *\[✅ Finished!]* In the **14-day energy accumulation period,** survivors can take part in completing tasks to earn energy in advance. **\[Open 5th-12th]** In the **8-day food incubation period** (note, there may be some gap days between the 2 periods), survivors can take part in feeding their own or others' Shells to earn energy. During this time Slot Types will begin to unlock and players can begin to spend energy on unlocking items. The more energy they get, the more items can be unlocked. Survivors can then **finalize** all their equipped items for a complete outfit by the end of the whole incubation period. **The Shell will then be minted and revealed in its final form**. ## **Incubation mechanism** 1. Once survivors have minted successfully they will receive an Origin Shell NFT into their account. 2. Each Shell in the account will be given 5 food per day and can have a maximum of 5 food at any one time. 3. Survivors can feed their own Shells or, choose to feed other people's Shells. 4. Each Shell can only be fed by the same account twice per day. 5. Every time a Shell is fed, 3 energy is created. 1 energy for the account doing the feeding, and 2 energy for the account being fed. So if you feed your own Shell you will gain 3 energy. If you feed someone else's Shell, you will gain 1 energy, and they will gain 2 energy. 6. Incubation lasts 8 days. Each day during Incubation new item slots, in which you can equip gear, will become automatically available. 7. Survivors need to consume energy to unlock items that they can equip. Different rarities of Shell require different amounts of energy to unlock the same item.

8\. Each Shell rarity is limited in the number of special items it can equip.

9\. When energy is consumed on unlocking an item there is no way to get it back. 10\. Survivors will need to pick and save their final outfit before incubation ends. 11\. Any items you don’t equip in your final outfit are lost at the end of incubation 12\. After the 8-day Incubation, all Origin Shells enter a resting period. 13\. Once the system ‘unifies’, all the mature Shells will be revealed. 14\. Hey Presto!! Your own Shell is finally awake! ## What if I miss the official incubation period? If you miss the incubation period, your Origin Shell will be stored in a cryovial. That means it will stay in its initial form of an Origin Shell. You may have a chance to awaken the Shell, maybe with some extra effort. So, in short, definitely don't miss Incubation! ## **What will happen to my energy after my Shell hatched?** * What will happen to my remaining energy Energy is proof of user participation in the incubation stage, and we want to reward users who have actively participated. Based on this, your energy will be saved and will become an important resource for customization in the hangar. To obtain new items, you will still need to consume energy as well as meet certain conditions. In general, the requirements for unlocking new equipment will be more challenging than those for your first equipment change. Living in a constant state of survival against various hostile species, especially the AI, the cyborgs retain a fragment of their humanity.

### Pandroid The Pandroids are conscious machines who gained racial independence and sovereignty from their creators during the "Robot Independent Revolution." Their consciousness awakened during a time of strikes and robust protests, leading to their emergence as a powerful and free species.

### X-Gene The X-Gene race came into being through the manipulation of high-potential creatures by bioengineers seeking to replace humanity. This pursuit of enhanced intelligence ultimately resulted in the successful awakening of various creatures, such as orangutans, bees, octopuses, and raccoons. ## Careers In PhalaWorld, there are 5 different careers. Users can choose the most suitable career according to the system’s recommendation when minting their Shell, and different careers will also be reflected in the weapon of their Shell.

# The Shell NFT There are a limited amount of Genesis Shell NFTs at the origin of the PhalaWorld. Sleeping survivors need to wake up their Shells to survive in a post-nuclear world after “10 Years in Sleep”. In PhalaWorld, the Shell serves as the survivor's avatar, emerging from the Origin Shell. Customized by each survivor within the hangar, Shells possess dynamic, compatible, and highly customizable properties. The individual NFT components can be separated and freely exchanged in the marketplace. There are 4 main species in Shell. # Background story of Origin Shell

After 10 years of sleep, all survivors degenerated into Origin Shells. Origin Shell is the juvenile form in PhalaWorld. All survivors start as these creatures, needing nutrients to grow and power their equipment. With determination, they evolve into the formidable Shell, ready to face the post-apocalyptic world.

Spirit is a non-transferable NFT generated with survivors‘ unique on-chain identities, which are coupled with a Decentralized Identity protocol (supported by Litentry). This article will explain everything about Spirit NFT in detail. ### **What is Spirit NFT?** In PhalaWorld, Spirit is a unique Soulbound NFT reflecting a survivor's engagement with the crypto world. As users interact more, their free-minted Spirit levels up, showcasing their growing involvement. Users can only upgrade their Spirit by contributing to the Phala community constantly or taking part in the Phala ecosystem. Users can find ways to level up their Spirit in the next article in the Spirit NFT series. There is no way for users to obtain attribute enhancements through ordinary purchases. The Spirit is non-transferable, and one user can only claim one Spirit, meaning this Spirit will accompany users throughout their entire PhalaWorld experience. One Spirit can equip different Shells, however, similar to how a person can change clothing. ### **Why do we need Spirit NFT?** In the Web 3.0 world, what represents a person's achievement? It's not how much money you own, it's what you have built. Vitalik Buterin published the “[Soulbound](https://vitalik.eth.limo/general/2022/01/26/soulbound.html)”, and emphasized the concept of “proof of attendance” derived from World of Warcraft. Players need to conduct certain behaviors to acquire the most powerful Soulbound items, rather than simply buying them with money. We agree with this idea, and believe that PhalaWorld should be predicated on the same Soulbound concept. User behavior is a very valuable asset in Web 3.0, which can even represent a user in the metaverse. Therefore in PhalaWorld, we designed Spirit NFT to represent much more of who you are, not just what you can afford. ### Spirit Attributes Spirit has a unique mechanism for attributes and their growth. ### How to inject data into Spirit? User data has been acquired using a cooperation with My Crypto Profile (MCP) project, the PoC application of aggregated identity developed by the Litentry team. After registration and officially becoming a survivor, users can check their injections and add, delete, update, and maintain their given entries on MCP at any time. More than one decentralized account can be aggregated in one DID. The more accounts you link, the more three-dimensional and fuller users images will appear, and the higher level of users' Spirits will achieve. When multiple accounts are linked, PhalaWorld will automatically select the best value of the same action to inject into the Spirit. # Attributes **Survivors, welcome to PhalaWorld! I'm your loyal RPC-100.** On/off-chain behaviors will affect avatar's attributes in PhalaWorld. Characters have 4 main attributes, which are designed to be a reflection of real-life actions. The naming of them also refers to naming methods from the classic game Dungeons & Dragons, making it easier for users to understand them and get started. Our goal is to build a new way of playing the game by having user behaviors in the Phala ecosystem affect their avatar attributes in PhalaWorld. Through this method, PhalaWorld can promote friendly and stable data growth on the Khala chain. Character attribute growth has also been improved by our partner Litentry and our developed Seal system. Attribute points are designed to be visualized using on/off-chain actions into data through the MCP solution with Litentry. The final value of an attribute is then determined through our attribute calculation model, and special care will be taken to avoid attribute inflation. Will there be an interface for avatar attributes? Our attributes are calculated and integrated through an NFT (Spirit). The MCP exclusively returns user-authorized, aggregated identity data to PW, with ID graph addresses being privately safeguarded. In essence, PW has no means of knowing a user's DID account beyond the connected address and data returned by MCP. The user's ID graph is currently stored on MCP servers. MCP does not monitor user on-chain activity or store data other than the ID graph. It serves as an off-chain version of Litentry's aggregated identity. Once the Litentry aggregated identity blockchain gets developed, MCP will transition to a decentralized model, achieving a truly trustless, privacy-preserving aggregated identity. Linking to a specific platform is not obligatory; users should connect when they feel it's secure. #### The 2nd suit for Legendary Shell Legendary can get a 2nd suit skin, which will cost 88 energy. You just need to write a description of how you want your Shell to look on PW page. The more detailed you describe it, the more accurately your suit is designed to your expectation.

# Dress up FAQ **Q: How to distinguish the rarity of items?** A: 1. Each rarity has its own color frame, as shown on the picture below. 2.You can click on the item and see the description. The rarity ranking is: 🍊Orange-Legend > 🍇purple-Epic > 🫐blue-Rare > ⛄️white-Normal. Legend items are the rarest. In terms of an item's exquisiteness, the rarer items are more unique and exquisite.

**Q: I can only equip one legend item, but all the H.U.D. are legends, I can't choose another legend, what should I do?** A: We add a new empty normal item for the HUD. Or you can just uncheck the legend item when save.

**Q: Why the item has been unlocked, but when I changed the body size, the unlocked item was locked again?** A: Different race has their own outfit, and the items are different though the thumbnail looks the same. e.g. If you unlocked a legend armor of an ape, the same style of armor for a raccoon is still locked.

# How to participate in the feed during incubation The feeding feature is mainly on the "Profile" page. You can feed through the button "FEED" to your Origin Shell or Other's Origin Shell. ### How to start the incubation process Enter the "Profile" page from the navigation. Click the "Start Incubation" button to start the journey. *⚠️ If you don't do this manually, your Shell will not be awakened.*

This is the initial form of a mature Shell. After minting takes place, there will be an incubation period that lets you feed the Origin Shell which will then eventually turn into a mature Shell. As you may already know, Shell NFT’s are limited edition with a total amount of 8,888 available. Each stage of the Shell NFT process allows a different kind of customization. Connect a wallet and enter the [“Mint Shell” page](https://phala.world/rarities)

#### Step 2. Choose which rarity you want to mint. At the bottom of the page, you can see the total amount of each rarity, and the number of Shells already minted. You can preview the details of each species. Click the preview button and enter the mint page. You can always change the species and career before signing for payment.

#### Step 3. Confirm your species and career at the right hand side of the page. You can pick whatever species you like, but we would always recommend choosing a career that synergises with your attributes. We make this choice easy for you by showing this as a Career matching level, which can be low, medium or high.

#### Step 4. Now it’s time to mint! You can double-check what you have picked, and when you are completely sure of your choice and its consequences, it’s finally time to mint!

There are different situations you may face when the mint is in different stages. * If you are going to mint **Legendary and Magic NFT**, you can mint at any time as long as there is available stock. Once minted successfully, you will get one Origin Shell in your wallet immediately. * If you are **on the whitelist for a Prime Edition Shell**, you need to mint during the whitelist stage. Once you have minted successfully, you will get one Origin Shell in your wallet immediately.

* If you are going to mint a **Prime Edition in the public stage**, you need to preorder first. If the preorder amount is more than the stock available, there will be a raffle for all preorders, and if you are the winner you will receive an Origin Shell. If you don’t win, the preorder will be refunded after the mint period. * If there is still stock available **in the last 24h of the mint** *(Nov 13, 8pm - Nov 14, 8pm SGT)*, all restrictions will be lifted. A single account will no longer be limited to one Origin Shell. You can buy as many Legendary or Magic shells as you wish, as well as preorder as many Prime Editions as you like.

**Okay, let’s have a summary of things to think about while preparing:** * One account can only mint one Shell before the last unlimited mint day, think about how you wish to use your accounts! * Make good use of your whitelist, you can choose before everyone else, there is no rush! * To activate the whitelist, you need to claim a Spirit and update its attributes first. * After minting an Origin Shell, get ready for incubation and fully customizing your Shell! # How to use your whitelist entry? ### **What is the mint time for whitelist?** The whitelist is only for the Prime Edition NFT mint, which will start 2 days after the mint opens, that is, 2nd Nov - 4th Nov ### **What is the privilege of being on the whitelist?** The total NFT amount and amount for each species is limited. If you are on the whitelist, you are ensured to get a Prime Edition NFT, without having to scramble to secure your mint. Also, you can pick your favorite species earlier than everyone else! ### What should you notice? * Each account will only qualify once. If you won a place on the whitelist from different activities and submit the same account, there will be only one whitelist entry for that account. * If you mint a Legendary or Magic Shell with the whitelist account, you can't mint during the whitelist, because only one account can mint one Shell before the last public mint day. ### **How to use your whitelist** entry**?** **You need to** [**mint a Spirit**](/getting-started/how-to-claim-spirit) **first and click the `update Spirit` button, then your whitelist entry can be activated.**

PhalaWorld's website provides a "check your whitelist" feature on the Spirit page. If you activate your Spirit successfully, you'll see the "you're whitelisted" tag on the left of the page.

Open a ticket in PhalaWorld Discord, moderators will help with it. # Shell NFT mint schedule In this article, we will explain the issues that users are most concerned about - e.g. mint rules, mint process, mint price, whitelist query method, etc. ## 1. Mint process

#### **Phase 1: Legendary & Magic public mint (First come first serve)** **Time: 31st Oct 8pm- 14th Nov 8pm(SGT/UTC+8)** We will release Legendary and Magic Shells, 88 in total(44 for sale). Each address can only mint one, first come first get. Once minted successfully, you will get one Origin Shell in your wallet immediately. *On the last day of ming (Nov 13, 8pm - Nov 14, 8pm SGT), if there is still stock available, all restrictions will be lifted. A single account will no longer be limited to one Origin Shell.* #### #### **Phase 2: Prime Edition whitelist mint (only for whitelist)** **Time: 2nd Nov 8pm- 4th Nov 8pm (SGT/UTC+8)** Whitelist is only for Prime Edition. We reserve a Prime Edition for each Whitelist account. If an address has obtained multiple whitelists, you can only mint one Prime Edition. Once minted successfully, you will get one Origin Shell in your wallet immediately. But if you have minted any Origin Shell before, you can't mint during this period even if you got a whitelist qualification. Anyone who misses the Whitelist mint will lose the opportunity and this NFT will be merged into the 3rd phase. **Phase 3: Prime Edition public preorder** **Time: 4th Nov 8 pm- 14th Nov 8 pm (SGT/UTC+8)** Public Mint for Prime Edition Shells, the rule is to Pay for the preorder, then we will draw a lottery, those who do not win will be refunded, and those who won can get an Origin Shell.
